Installation Package

This installation package creates and adds a few registry entries to allow you to shred (securely erase) the free space on your drives by adding a right click option to your drive letters in explorer. It can be removed via Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

To install in Vista, right click the installation file and select run as administrator.

ZAP FREE SPACE USAGE

It's best to perform a disk cleanup and run disk defragmenter on your drive prior to performing a wipe.

Sdelete.exe will do a three pass wipe of your unused hard drive space.

This also works for wiping free space on floppy disks and USB flash drives.

Open My Computer (computer in vista) or explorer.

Right click the drive that you wish to shred the free space. Select "Zap Free Space".

USING the “SEND TO” function

CAUTION: Using “Send to” permanently and irrevocably deletes your files. Do not ever expect to retrieve those files again. No Recycle bin, No Recovery software, Forever……

Right click a file or folder (that you truly want deleted forever)

Send to, Shredder

Sdelete.exe will do a three pass wipe of your file or folder.
